This is to inform to all concerned Nepalese Migrant workers living in South Korea under the Employment Permit System that the Immigration Service of the Republic of Korea has brought out some changes on working visa policy applicable to the migrant workers making them effective from October. According to the new changes, those who are holding the E9 visa and can fulfill the following qualifications are eligible to convert their visa status to E7 which will facilitate them for longer stay in Korea. • Who has been legally working for more than 4 years within the recent 10 years (employed in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, livestock, fishing industries), • Younger than 35 years of age and has obtained an academic degree completed at technically specialized college or higher studies, • Having a certificate for skilled capacity issued by the competent authority, and •Having the Korean language proficiency at the level 3 or higher.
